Records, 1947-1999.

This collection is organized into five series. The first of these series is the Department Records which contains the department and program reviews and department activities. Series two is the Faculty Records which contains the faculty files, faculty meeting minutes, and the records of the associations of which the faculty participated in. The third series is the Correspondence series which contains the correspondence of the students, faculty, department, university, and department chairs. The fourth series, Lab Equipment, has the instruction manuals, advertisements, and records of equipment used in the SFLC labs. The last series, photographs, has unlabeled photos of graduation, faculty, students, and student designs.

In 1951, after accepting the appointment as President of Brigham Young University, Ernest L. Wilkinson was given the charge to further the development of the home economics programs on campus. This charge led to the establishment of the College of Family Living in 1954. The college was then subdivided into five departments with Clothing and Textiles being one of them.
